Председатель Совета безопасности республики Сергей Шамба в ходе своего выступления заявил, что Россия отстаивает интересы Абхазии как стратегический союзник.
«Сегодня у нас есть стратегический союз с Россией, которая отстаивает наши интересы. Необходимо демонстрировать лояльность РФ и одновременно укреплять единство внутри Абхазии», – сказал он.
Бывший депутат парламента Рауль Лолуа подчеркнул, что для него важна не национальность гражданина Абхазии, а готовность защищать Родину. Он вспомнил, что в Отечественную войну народа Абхазии многие шли в бой без оружия, так как была сильная идеологическая подготовка, в которой не было место каким-либо национальным противоречиям. А тем, кто сейчас в Абхазии поддерживает украинских неофашистов, он напомнил, что «во время Отечественной войны народа Абхазии 1992-1993 годов против народа Абхазии воевали наемники из Украины».
В свою очередь, руководитель Центра правозащиты российских граждан в Абхазии Елена Жилинская подчеркнула, что одной из главных задач многонационального народа должна быть консолидация общества, вне зависимости от национальности. По её словам, нельзя делить граждан Абхазии на своих и чужих, тем более, используя эту тему в политических целях. Она считает, что это может привести не только к расколу в обществе, но и к разрушению государства, так как, данный подход является антиконституционным.
