Творческая встреча известного русского художника, писателя, ученого Александра Лозового прошла в Московском культурно-деловом центре «Дом Москвы» в Сухуме.
Мероприятие было организовано Представительством Россотрудничества при поддержке МКДЦ «Дом Москвы» в Сухуме в рамках постоянного проекта «Русский след в Абхазии». В нем приняли участие писатели, художники, учителя, государственные деятели, представители молодежи и организаций российских соотечественников, журналисты.
Тема встречи: «Абхазия и традиции Петербургского авангарда».
«Александр Лозовой является представителем очень известной семьи не только в Абхазии, но и в России. Его родители корнями и своей любовью к человеку связывают две страны — Россию и Абхазию. Его папа (Николай Лозовой — прим.) был художником, который учился у Малевича. Если мы говорим Малевич, то мы вспоминаем Филонова, Хлебникова, Маяковского, Ахматову… Мама Александра была великолепной русисткой, она всю свою жизнь преподавала в Абхазском институте, а в послевоенные годы была завкафедрой русского языка. И вот эти традиции, которые складывались в семье, полностью передались Александру, который был учеником Варвары Бубновой — легенды, связывающей три страны — Россию, Японию и Абхазию», — сказала, открывая мероприятие руководитель общественной организации «Русский культурный центр» Наталья Каюн.
Александр Лозовой в свою очередь выразил благодарность организаторам и попросил зрителей задавать вопросы, связанные с Абхазией. «Для меня большая честь, что вы пришли на это мероприятие. И я хотел бы, чтобы те вопросы, которые вы будете задавать во время встречи, они были бы через призму Абхазии, потому что человек и его творчество формируется в том мире, с которым он связан…», — сказал художник.
В ходе встречи Александр Лозовой рассказал о творчестве Казимира Малевича, Варвары Бубновой, Николая Лозового, а также о своей биографии, работах и творческом пути.
Работы Александра Лозового находятся в Государственном Русском музее в Санкт-Петербурге, Государственном музее изобразительных искусств имени А. С. Пушкина в Москве, Музее современного искусства, историко-архитектурном и художественном музее «Новый Иерусалим», Ярославском художественном музее, Архангельском областном музее, в Zimmerly museum (штат Нью-Джерси, США), в других музеях и частных собраниях.
Александр Лозовой автор книг, статей по изобразительному искусству. В частности один из авторов публикаций и комментариев к I и II тому «Малевич о себе. Современники о Малевиче» (2004), публикации «О чем молчал Филонов» (Experiment, Los Angeles, 2005), книги «Ошибки великих мастеров. Закат реализма» (2008), монографии «Варвара Бубнова» (1984), «Монотипия. Техника монотипии» (совместно с К. В. Безменовой, 2010), «Цитаты Ветхого Завета», Сан-Франциско (2011) и др.
Лозовой также автор телевизионных фильмов: «Театр одного художника. Варвара Бубнова» (1996), «Восток. Восток. Япония и русский авангард» (2000).
Среди современных художников Александр Лозовой – единственный непосредственный ученик известных русских авангардистов ХХ века. В 60 – 70 – х годах он учился в частной мастерской Варвары Бубновой (1886 – 1983) члена «Союза Молодёжи», «Бубнового Валета», «Ослиного хвоста», ИНХУКа, которая училась вместе с Филоновым, участвовала в выставках вместе с Малевичем, Маяковским, Татлиным, Родченко.
